My passion for awakening is what drives my work.
I am a licensed MFT, adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies (where I graduated in 2004), and have been in private practice in the Bay Area since 2004. My path to this work led me from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, through a career in consulting, accounting and real estate development, and finally landing me in the San Francisco Bay Area.
My own therapeutic process has been invaluable for me—it has helped me engage life in a more dynamic way, to make sense of my experience, and bring a sense of meaning and relevancy to existence. It has also filled in the gaps that are common in our cultural experience. I was never taught how to navigate my internal world of emotions or about relationship or communication. I winged it all—as I think many of us do. I’ve gotten to understand myself, appreciate the strategies I’ve adopted, and let go of the ones that no longer serve me. Though, of course, life is still sometimes difficult, confusing, and painful, my relationship to it is different. Now it feels like a journey, even the tough stuff is part of my evolution.
I feel honored to work with the brave souls who enter my office to embark on this work. Nothing is more meaningful to me then helping people become who they are.
